The technology of the Saphir Ionizing System is based on the ionisation of the water with copper and silver, which is recognised by the WHO (World Health Organisation) as an effective means of disinfection.

The system´s principle
The water flows between a pair of electrodes made of copper and silver. With the use of a low charge of direct current the electrodes release positive loaded ions. Through the systems water flow these ions are transported to the pool.

The Function        
Positive loaded copper and silver ions are attracted to the negative loaded cell sur face of micro organisms, and inhibit important functions of these cells. This will make them incapable of survival and reproduction.

The synergy effect        
In addition to ionisation, metered amounts of active oxygen are added to the water at periodic intervals. This takes place automatically and has the advantage that organic substances (e.g. skin oil, perspiration, etc.) get oxidised. The disinfectant effect of copper and silver ions are simultaneously increased.

Additionally copper, silver ions and active oxygen (H2O2) penetrate micro organism cells in different ways, therefore making resistance difficult.
